Just for example, 2.2 million students graduate in India each year, but they need further training to build vocational & professional skills. And this is an area in which Aptech is the market leader & has core expertise.
Education is also a large business. The total private education market in India alone is estimated to be worth USD 40 billion (Source: CLSA report, March 2008). Of this, among the segments in which Aptech is currently a player, the IT training industry is worth USD 225 million & is set to grow to USD 500 million by 2012. Vocational training (staff training for airlines, retail chains, hotels, financial services & basic skills such as English improvement) is worth USD 1.4 billion and will grow at 22% per year till 2012. Similarly, corporate training & assessment and testing solutions too are growing at a rapid pace.
