Aptech announces Q3 Results

  • Global System Wide booking at Rs.393 crores up 22% from Q3 2006 (Rs.322 crores)
  • Income from operations at Rs. 65.26 crores up 19% from Q3 2006 (Rs. 54.72 crores)

Mumbai:
For the quarter ending Sept 2007, Aptech Limited, the Global Learning Solutions Company, posted a Global System-wide booking of Rs.392.91 crores, registering a growth of 22 % over the same quarter of the year 2006. The Profit before Tax and extraordinary items stood at Rs.9.33 crores and the PAT stood at 7.68 crores.

The unaudited reviewed financial results were taken on record at the Board Meeting held in Mumbai. The snapshot results for the 9 months January to September 2007 are given below.

Commenting on Aptech’s performance, Mr. Pramod Khera, CEO & MD – Aptech Ltd., said, “Both in China and India, Aptech has doubled its spends in marketing this year compared to the last year. This has resulted in a 55% increase in the system-wide revenues giving us a greater visibility for income in the coming 3 quarters. Last quarter the highlight was the launch of the new brand for Certified Hardware & Networking programs viz. N-Power. It is poised to grow rapidly in Q4, during which we plan to open 50 centres domestically. With our non–retail businesses attaining a critical mass, we would look at the coming year for sustained profitable growth.”

Highlights Q3 2007:


  • International Expansion: Creating depth – Added 7 new centres in Q3, taking the total of newly added International centres in 2007 to 24. Aptech introduced it’s offering for schools - Aptech Plus in Mongolia.
  • Arena Animation: Added 3 new centres of Arena Animation in Q3 in India, with another 11 in the pipeline
  • Aptech Computer Education: Opened up 7 new centres in this quarter in India, with it’s career courses registering an impressive 31% growth over the YTD 2006.
  • Aptech Computer Education: Signed up 12 new centers added in the quarter, taking the total to 32 centres. Penetration in South & North, besides strengthening network in West. It’s scholarship drive, the first of it’s kind in the Aviation Training space, met with enthusiastic response.

  • Mr. Pramod Khera, CEO & MD, Aptech Ltd. was conferred the “CEO with an HR Orientation Award” for his outstanding contribution to building a Peoples’ Organization.
  • ‘Indira Super Achiever Award’ for 2007 given to Mr. Anuj Kacker, Senior Vice President – Intl Operations, Aptech Ltd., recognizing his Talent, Competence, Skills & contribution to the organization.
  • ‘Indira Super Achievers Award for Brand Building’ was given to Ms. Preeti Malik, Vice President & Head, Avalon Aviation Academy, for her phenomenal contribution in building the Avalon Brand in a short span of time.

Aptech Learning Services, the learning content development arm of Aptech, got the CMMi Level 3 for it’s content development factory in Pune. With an office in UK on the anvil, it is poised to further consolidate its position in Europe.

ATTEST conducted close to 6,18,000 online assessments YTD Sept 2007. It will end up the year with conducting over a million assessments.

Synergetics: With over a 100 trainers and consultants, strengthened itself in the Developer training space with the world leaders as it’s clients. It’s finishing program titled ‘Pravesh’ received enthusiastic response from both the Corporates and Institutes alike.
