Mumbai: Aptech Limited, today announced that its Managing Director, Mr. Pramod Khera has stepped down at the company's Board meeting held on 14 March 2009.
Mr. Khera steered Aptech as its CEO & Managing Director from the year 2001, with a vision to develop Aptech Ltd. into a recognized global leader across a spectrum of Learning Services. Mr. Khera successfully built a formidable position for Aptech’s Retail & Institutional businesses, enabling the company to grow from strength to strength.
Mr. Khera would continue to be associated with the company as its Non Executive Director and contribute for the further growth of the company.
Mr. Ninad Karpe, who was earlier inducted in Aptech as its CEO would now take over from Mr. Khera and lead the company as its CEO & Managing Director to reach greater heights. He has been associated with Aptech as a non-executive director on the company’s board for over two years. Prior to working with Aptech, Mr. Karpe was Managing Director of CA (India and SAARC).

Pramod Khera, CEO and Managing Director of Aptech Ltd., is well known in India as an IT industry and education expert, entrepreneur and author. His areas of expertise include franchising, education, marketing, and software development. Mr. Khera is the author of the business book “Franchising – The Route Map to Business Excellence,” published in India by Tata McGraw Hill. Prior to leading Aptech to rapid worldwide growth, Mr. Khera pioneered tele-shopping in India in the mid 1990s as founder and CEO of Tele-Shopping Network.
He received his bachelor’s degree in technology from the Indian Institute of Technology in Delhi and his post-graduation from the Indian Institute of Management in Bangalore. He has also acquired a Ph.D. in Knowledge Management from University of Pune, India.

Ninad Karpe is the CEO of Aptech Ltd. He was earlier Managing Director, CA (formerly known as Computer Associates) for India & SAARC. He had been associated with CA India since the company’s inception in the country.
He held numerous management responsibilities in CA India that include setting up offices in India, managing marketing, PR, technical services, HR, operations and finance.
In his capacity as Managing Director of the Indian operations of the world’s fourth largest software company, Ninad’s responsibilities included driving the adoption of CA’s technology and broadening and strengthening strategic partnerships in India.
Earlier, Mr. Karpe was Executive Director of CA India. He has been a consulting specialist for companies seeking to invest in India. He has also authored several books on strategy, taxation and foreign investment in India and contributes regularly to newspapers, magazines and journals.
