Mumbai, October 12, 2006 – Aptech Ltd., the Global Learning Solutions Company, announced the acquisition of the Mumbai based Synergetics Information Technology Service India Pvt. Ltd. At its Board meeting held in Mumbai today, the Board of Directors consented to the 70% Equity stake in Synergetics, a Company engaged in high-end IT training vertical business.

Aptech would pay Rs. 35 million for the acquisition of 70% stake in Synergetics. Aptech plans to infuse an additional capital of Rs. 50 million in Synergetics within the next 24 months by way of growth capital and as a result of which Aptech’s equity shareholding in Synergetics would stand increased to 85%.

Synergetics, which began its operations over a decade ago, is today a leading organization in the high-end IT Training space. It is also the preferred partner for Microsoft Developer Training. Aptech has been looking at prospects for reinforcing the IT Training vertical and accordingly, had identified Synergetics, which is a reputed company executing training contracts in the IT Vertical.

With this equity takeover, Synergetics shall become a subsidiary of Aptech Ltd. and the results for the quarter ending December 2006 of Aptech would reflect the business results of Synergetics.

Earlier this year, Aptech acquired the Pune based Avalon Aviation Academy to enter the Aviation Training space.
