Mumbai, July 27, 2006: Aptech Limited, the Global Learning Solutions Company, announced it’s financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2006. The unaudited financial results were taken on record at the Board Meeting held at Mumbai on July 27, 2006.

During this quarter, the company made a foray into the fast growing Aviation Training arena. Aptech acquired the Pune based Avalon Aviation Academy to take this initiative ahead. Aptech plans to take the Avalon Aviation Academy to the major Metros like Mumbai, Delhi, Chandigarh, Hyderabad and Bangalore in the first phase and plans to establish 15 centres by the end of 2006. The Academy already has two centres in Pune and has inaugurated one in Mumbai recently.

Internationally, Aptech made a foray into Mongolia, Afghanistan & Dubai by signing up for centres during this Quarter, which will be operational in the second half of the year. The Kuwait centre became operational during this period. Aptech continued its expansion into Philippines, Iran, Indonesia, Mexico, Vietnam, Turkey & Thailand by adding on new centres in these countries.

Aptech’s retail brands viz. Aptech Computer Education, Arena Multimedia & SSi Education showed considerable growth. Aptech Computer Education received an enthusiastic response for it’s Aptech Certified Computer Professional (ACCP 2006) program, which now includes a year of internship. The immensely popular Power Packed Career Program ACCP 2006 is now being made available thru select SSi Education Centres across the country.

Aptech achieved the distinction of being featured amongst TrainingOutsourcing.com’s Top 20 Global Training Outsourcing Service Provider (OSP) Companies. China operations:

In China, where Aptech has been the market-leader for the fourth consecutive year with a market share of 27.3% at the end of 2005, up from 15% in 2004 (Source: IDC Report), recorded impressive growth in it’s revenues & enrolments. Overall, Aptech in China registered a 54% increase in its enrolments compared to the corresponding quarter in 2005.

Aptech’s consolidated Revenue for Q2 is at Rs. 41.62 crores. The PBDT has been reported at Rs. 11.47 crores. The Profit After Tax stood at Rs. 6.47 crores.
