Aptech Q1 Results: 100% growth in system wide booking.

Global System Wide booking at Rs.341.38 crores up 103% from Q1 2006 (167.98 crores)
Profit (Before exceptional item & tax) at 7.33 crores, up 181% from Rs.2.61 crores. - PAT at 6.80 crores ( Q1 2006 – Rs.1.56 crores.)

For the quarter ending March 2007, Aptech Limited, the Global Learning Solutions Company, posted an impressive Global System-wide booking of Rs.341.38 crores, registering a growth of 103% over the same quarter of year 2006. The Profit before exceptional items & tax similarly registered a very impressive growth from Rs. 2.61 crores in 2006 to a high of Rs. 7.33 crores in Q1 2007. The PAT stood at 6.80 crores.
The unaudited reviewed financial results were taken on record at the Board Meeting held in Mumbai.’
Commenting on Aptech’s performance, Mr. Pramod Khera, CEO & MD – Aptech Ltd., said “Aptech has earmarked the Year 2007 as the year of growth and all our businesses, systems & process are geared up to take up the challenge.”
Highlights Q1 2007 :
- International Expansion – New Centres in new & existing geographies: Aptech Computer Education centres at Ghana, Vietnam, Nigeria, & Iran. Arena Animation centres at Syria, Jordan & Saudi Arabia.
- New centres in Mongolia, Kuwait, Dubai, Iran & EL Salvador made operational.
- China – Captured 32.10% market share (IDC Report) of the IT Training & Education Market. Retained the highest market share for 5th consecutive year .Established 6 new centres offering Software Testing programmes (BTEST) in China . Launched a brand new version of the Network Engineering programme (BNET).
- Growth - Domestic Retail - 65%, International Retail : 122%
- Avalon 4 New centers added in the quarter.
- Accolades - Indian Franchising Awards 2007 – Winner of the Indian Global Franchiser of the year Award & Win – win Franchising Partnership of the Year Award. Arena Multimedia bagged the Franchise Growth Driver of the year Award.
- Honored with IT People Award for Leadership in IT Education - 2007
- Featured amongst India’s Top 10 Biggest Newsmakers in IT Companies category for 2006 in the Business Today & Cirrus survey.
- Aptech Training Solutions tied up with Infosys to deliver end user training on FINACLE.
